Support to B-LiFE during Guinea Ebola Crisis
Emergency.lu partnered with B-LiFE, collaboration between the public, private and academic sectors on a national and international level. B-LiFE aims at bringing rapid disease identification for a fast response to sanitary crises such as the present Ebola epidemic.
Mali Ebola Crisis – UNDAC Support
In 2014, Luxembourg supported UNDAC in Mali’s Ebola response, rapidly establishing ICT systems at the EOC, enabling coordination, training staff, and ensuring reliable communications for effective epidemic preparedness and management.
Typhoon Haiyan
On 10 November 2013, two emergency.lu rapid deployment kits, together with 4 VSAT experts from the Luxembourg Civil Protection, were deployed to the Philippines within the framework of an IHP support mission to UNDAC/OCHA. One additional emergency.lu rapid deployment kit and one regular kit were sent from the Humanitarian Response Depot in Dubai to the Philippines in support of the Emergency Telecommunications Cluster (ETC).
