Tigray Refugee Response

Emergency.lu deployed satellite systems to Sudan’s Tigray refugee camps, enabling connectivity for humanitarian coordination, reporting, and aid delivery, supporting rapid camp setup for thousands fleeing conflict in Ethiopia.

Qamishli Hub Connectivity

emergency.lu enabled secure satellite connectivity for UNICEF in north‑east Syria, ensuring reliable coordination of education, protection, and WASH programmes despite damaged infrastructure and unstable power and telecommunications networks.

Guasdalito Espacio Informático

Emergency.lu restored connectivity in Guasdualito, enabling UNHCR and 40 partners to coordinate aid for 25,300 people, while a shared WiFi hub supported education, protection services, and humanitarian operations.

Baga Sola Connectivity

Over 226,559 Nigerians had been forced to flee their home country by the end of July 2018, seeking refuge in Chad, Cameroon and Niger. Chad currently hosts more than 10,300 Nigerian refugees. Building on the shared accomplishment of the Diffa connectivity project, UNHCR requested emergency.lu support for its operations in  Baga-Sola.

Batangafo Connectivity

The Emergency Telecommunications Cluster (ETC) was activated in December 2013 in response to the escalating crisis. The recent escalation of violence in CAR in late 2018 has brought the country towards the brink of a new, large-scale humanitarian crisis, increasing the protection risks in multiple new hotspots across the country.

Rohingya Refugee Response

Luxembourg supported the Rohingya response by deploying an HIT expert to help build and equip an inter‑agency coordination hub in Ukhiya, enabling effective collaboration among UN agencies, NGOs, and ISCG near Kutupalong.

Tshikapa Field Office Connectivity

On 30 August 2017, UNICEF requested the support of emergency.lu for their operations in the Kasai region in DRC. Decades of armed conflict in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), political unrest and insecurity have resulted in a complex humanitarian crisis.
