Facts

The Let’s Net 2024 training, hosted in Remich, Luxembourg from 19 April to 3 May, brought together 16 participants from 6 ETC member organizations for an intensive ten-day programme. Through emergency.lu, Luxembourg provided comprehensive logistical support, including facilities, accommodation, and coordination, creating an engaging and collaborative training environment.

Jointly organized by the World Food Programme, emergency.lu, and Ericsson Response, the training aimed to prepare humanitarian professionals to effectively deploy and operate Emergency Telecommunications Cluster (ETC) Data and Voice services in emergency settings. Participants were trained on the use of specialized equipment while strengthening both their technical expertise and essential soft skills.

The course emphasized teamwork and real-world application, enabling participants to build confidence in delivering connectivity solutions under pressure. As part of the programme, participants also visited the Schengen Museum and SES Betzdorf facilities, offering valuable insights into Luxembourg’s broader technological and historical context.

The aim of Let’s Net 2024 is to enhance responders’ ability to deliver reliable communication services in emergencies, ensuring better coordination and information flow in humanitarian operations.
