Gaza Medical Evacuations to Luxembourg

Luxembourg supported EU medical evacuation efforts for Gaza by transporting two injured patients and two companions from Bucharest to Luxembourg for treatment via Luxembourg Air Ambulance, in a mission coordinated with DG ECHO and the ERCC under UCPM funding.

Onward Evacuation from Romania to France

Through emergency.lu’s MEDEVAC capacity, Luxembourg supported the EU‑coordinated evacuation of vulnerable Gaza patients, ensuring safe air transfer to specialised hospitals in Europe and access to life‑saving medical treatment.

Farchana Inter-Agency Hub Extension

Luxembourg and IHP partners expanded the Farchana Humanitarian Hub with new prefabs, WASH and power systems, and a kitchen to accommodate humanitarian staff responding to the Sudan crisis, following assessment missions in 2023 and construction mission in 2024.

PPE and Medical Equipment Donation

In response to the 2024 Lebanon health crisis, Luxembourg deployed medical equipment from its national emergency stockpile via the UCPM, delivering beds, devices and PPE to reinforce overstretched hospitals and support frontline healthcare services.

Demining Kits for Ukraine

Luxembourg, through emergency.lu, delivered 110 humanitarian demining kits to Ukraine via the UCPM, strengthening SESU’s capacity to safely clear mines and unexploded ordnance in contaminated areas.

Advanced ICT Services for the Dori Community Center

Emergency.lu enabled smart connectivity in Dori through SD‑WAN technology, providing managed internet access, digital services, and training for vulnerable communities, before transitioning to local ISP connectivity in a sustainable handover.
