Türkiye Earthquake

On 6 February 2023, at 04:17 TRT (01:17 UTC), a Mw 7.8 earthquake struck southern and central Turkey and northern and western Syria. The epicenter was 37 km (23 mi) west–northwest of Gaziantep. The earthquake had a maximum Mercalli intensity of XII (Extreme) around the epicenter and in Antakya.

Mont Ngafula – IHP Support

Luxembourg deployed an IHP expert to support UNDAC in the DRC floods, providing logistics and ICT support, organising field visits and enabling the team to focus fully on coordination and assessments.

Flood Response Mont Ngafula – UNDAC Deployment

Following severe floods in Kinshasa in December 2022, Luxembourg deployed a UNDAC expert to support coordination, assessments, and response planning for thousands affected by widespread damage and displacement.

Ebola Airlift and Incinerators

Luxembourg supported Uganda’s response by providing eight incinerators and airlifting WHO medical supplies, strengthening waste management, logistics, and treatment unit readiness at Mulago, Masaka, and Jinja during the 2022 outbreak.
