PPE and Medical Equipment Donation

In response to the 2024 Lebanon health crisis, Luxembourg deployed medical equipment from its national emergency stockpile via the UCPM, delivering beds, devices and PPE to reinforce overstretched hospitals and support frontline healthcare services.

Demining Kits for Ukraine

Luxembourg, through emergency.lu, delivered 110 humanitarian demining kits to Ukraine via the UCPM, strengthening SESU’s capacity to safely clear mines and unexploded ordnance in contaminated areas.

Marburg Outbreak

Luxembourg supported Rwanda’s Marburg outbreak response by donating 330 pallets of PPE, disinfectants and medical devices from national health stocks through the UCPM. The airlifted supplies arrived in Kigali on 3 December 2024 to strengthen protection for frontline health workers.

Vaccine Refrigerators and Shelter Items for Gaza

Luxembourg supported Gaza’s emergency health response by donating vaccine refrigerators and relief items through the UCPM, helping maintain critical cold chain continuity and provide essential assistance to displaced families amid severe access constraints.

100 Generators for Ukraine

Luxembourg donated 100 diesel generators to Ukraine in 2023, strengthening energy resilience and ensuring backup power for municipalities and critical services through coordinated delivery across multiple conflict‑affected regions.

Türkiye Earthquake

On 6 February 2023, at 04:17 TRT (01:17 UTC), a Mw 7.8 earthquake struck southern and central Turkey and northern and western Syria. The epicenter was 37 km (23 mi) west–northwest of Gaziantep. The earthquake had a maximum Mercalli intensity of XII (Extreme) around the epicenter and in Antakya.

Ebola Airlift and Incinerators

Luxembourg supported Uganda’s response by providing eight incinerators and airlifting WHO medical supplies, strengthening waste management, logistics, and treatment unit readiness at Mulago, Masaka, and Jinja during the 2022 outbreak.
