emergency.lu was first deployed in January 2012 to respond to the humanitarian crisis in South Sudan.
Following a coup d’état in Bamako, the Emergency Telecommunications Cluster (ETC) was activated on 5th April 2012 to provide vital security communications and internet connectivity services to the community responding to urgent humanitarian needs.
