Who we are and what we do

From satellite connectivity to full-scale crisis response: emergency.lu has evolved into Luxembourg’s global operational emergency assistance solution.

Launched in 2012, emergency.lu was initially developed as a satellite-based telecommunications platform to rapidly restore connectivity in the aftermath of disasters.

Over time, it has evolved into Luxembourg’s comprehensive emergency response mechanism, offering a broad range of support services tailored to humanitarian needs worldwide. Today, emergency.lu goes far beyond connectivity and ICT support, and evolved into a fast-acting crisis response system maintaining a strategic humanitarian stockpile, carrying out aerial medical evacuations, strengthening local capacities, and providing essential infrastructure assistance all around the world.
