Reception in Lintgen

Romain Schneider, Minister for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs, attended a reception at the national base of the Luxembourg Rescue Services in Lintgen on 31 January. The objective of this event was to honor the commitment of the volunteers who were deployed to the Philippines in November-December 2013, and to thank their employers (Stëftung Hëllef Doheem de Mamer, le Tricentenaire, le Ministère de l’Education Nationale et l’Hôpital Intercommunal de Steinfort) for their flexibility and understanding, allowing their employees to stay away from work to participate in humanitarian missions. The Minister also expressed his appreciation to the private partners of (HITEC Luxembourg, SES TechCom and Luxembourg Air Ambulance) for their dedication and support for this mission. After a presentation of the Humanitarian Intervention Team (HIT) of the Luxembourg Rescue Services and of the project ‘’, the volunteers presented a photo collection with impressions from the devastated regions of the Philippines.
